Provide high-quality clinical and personal care to patients, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living. Support nurses and physicians by performing technical tasks such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection while maintaining a safe environment.
Requires a high school diploma and either one year of healthcare experience, specific UPMC CNA experience, or a degree in health sciences. Must hold a CPR certification based on AHA standards and be able to achieve competency in advanced clinical skills.
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire ACLS preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Act 34
