The CT Technologist 2 arranges patients for Computed Tomography examinations, produces necessary CT images for medical diagnosis, and ensures patient safety by preventing unnecessary radiation exposure. This role also involves screening patients for safe contrast media administration and providing complete pre and post-procedure education to patients and their families.
The CT Tech 2 arranges patients for Computed Tomography examinations.
Produces CT images to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.
Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.
Ensures patient safety by using pre-established imaging protocols, and screens patients for safe administration of contrast media.
Utilizes departmental policy to perform safe operation of equipment and all functions of the job.
Provides complete pre and post education to patients and family.
Able to evaluate competency level of others.
Reports to Supervisor or Manager.

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and possess a current State License along with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (R) or eligibility, specifically in Computed Tomography (CT). A minimum of 2 years of experience and Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification are also required.
