About the role

The Endocrinologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of endocrine and metabolic disorders, primarily through outpatient care, while developing individualized treatment plans. A healthcare organization in Rutland is seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certifiable or Board Certified Endocrinologist to join a collaborative team dedicated to providing high-quality patient care.

Position Overview The Endocrinologist will diagnose and manage a wide range of endocrine and metabolic disorders.

The position involves primarily outpatient care with opportunities to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver comprehensive treatment and patient education.

Key Responsibilities Diagnose and treat endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and hormonal imbalances Develop individualized treatment plans and manage long-term patient care Interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies related to endocrine conditions Provide patient education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical programs Community Overview Located in the scenic Green Mountains, Rutland offers a welcoming community with abundant outdoor recreation, cultural attractions, and a high quality of life.

General Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program Completion of an accredited Endocrinology fellowship program Eligible for or able to obtain a Vermont medical license Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing complex endocrine disorders Interest in diabetes management and preventive care Commitment to patient-centered care and community health initiatives

Requirements

Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree, be Board Certified or Eligible in Endocrinology, and have completed accredited residency and fellowship programs. Eligibility for or possession of a Vermont medical license, strong clinical judgment, and communication skills are also required.
