The Nurse Clinician demonstrates a high level of expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating complex patients and their responses to health problems, while assisting the healthcare team in illness prevention and wellness maintenance. This role also involves providing direction, education, and leadership for program development, implementation, and evaluation within the area of responsibility.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in nursing, current Virginia RN licensure (or compact state eligibility), AHA BLS HCP Certification, and a minimum of five years of nursing experience, with at least one year in the specialty population. Applicants must also be enrolled in a Master's degree program at the time of application, to be completed within 36 months of hire.
