The role is responsible for executing goal-oriented treatments established by the Occupational Therapist to help patients achieve the maximum level of independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Upper Extremity (UE) functioning. This work takes place within a large hospital setting that offers diverse medical services including emergency, maternity, pediatric, cardiovascular, and oncology care.
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program and hold Nevada State Licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, or be in the process of licensure practicing under a student license. A current certification from the National Board in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are also mandatory.
Responsible for carrying out goal-oriented treatments established by the Occupational Therapist to facilitate maximum level of independence in ADL and UE functioning.
