The CAT Scan Technologist performs various CT procedures, exercising professional judgment to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services while adhering to medical ethics and organizational values. Key duties include performing procedures per physician orders, verifying patient history, preparing patients, and maintaining equipment safety standards.
Candidates must be graduates of a JRCERT-accredited program in Radiologic Technology and hold current ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications, along with BLS certification. A minimum of one year of recent CT experience is preferred, and IV certification is preferred or must be obtained during onboarding.
The CAT Scan Technologist performs a variety of CT procedures while exercising professional judgment to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This role requires maintaining standards consistent with medical ethics and organizational values, delivering safe and appropriate care to all patient populations, and working independently in the provision of services. Key Responsibilities Perform CT procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols Verify patient clinical history and ensure accuracy of imaging orders Prepare and educate patients for procedures to ensure safety and comfort Provide patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism and compassion Maintain equipment and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with the care team
Experience: Minimum one (1) year of recent CT experience preferred Education: Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program in Radiologic Technology required. Licensure/Certifications: ARRT (R) certification required ARRT (CT) certification required IV certification preferred (or must obtain by end of onboarding/training) BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required
