Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, the LPN provides nursing care requiring the application of basic biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences. Responsibilities include assisting providers in patient assessment, providing direct technical nursing care, and administering medications after required training and certification.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program and maintain current licensure in the State of Ohio, functioning within the scope of practice for an LPN. Essential requirements include maintaining BCLS certification and demonstrating proficiency in various clinical skills such as phlebotomy, EKG, and specific medication administration routes for all age groups.
