The technologist must operate all routine Nuclear Medicine and Positron Emission Tomography equipment safely and proficiently, performing high-quality radionuclide imaging and non-imaging studies under physician direction, including radiopharmaceutical administration and patient positioning. This role also involves adhering to all regulatory standards, handling multiple room assignments daily, communicating with various personnel, and assisting with departmental operations like clerical duties and stocking.
Candidates must have a High School Graduate or equivalent education and satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training from an AMA approved school. Licensure requires registration by ARRT in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT(N)) or CNMT certification, plus Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) Nuclear Medicine Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS).
