This role is responsible for creating a positive patient experience by arranging transportation and welcoming patients upon arrival to the clinic, while also assisting with various research functions as requested. Key duties include managing patient check-in across multiple platforms, verifying demographics, coordinating appointment reminders, and confirming insurance eligibility for injections.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably have prior medical office experience. Essential skills include proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong communication abilities, time management, prioritization, and the capacity to apply clinic policies and solve organizational problems.
Greet and check-in subjects through multiple platforms to include Microsoft Teams, Nextgen, MDI, and Realtime. Verify patient’s demographics and update profiles in all PM systems Complete appointment reminder calls to subjects Create and arrange transportation for research subjects Coordination of Superbills Confirm eligibility for injections by entering information regarding drug coverage, copay assistance programs and insurance benefits between multiple platforms. Ordering lunch, supplies, and other items as needed Assist Research with chart organization and appointment scheduling as needed Assist Coordinators as needed Completes other duties as assigned
Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Experience Requirements: Medical office experience preferred Physical Abilities: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. Skills/Competencies: Ability to competently use Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and appropriate practice management software. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to operate office equipment Ability to effectively communicate and present information Ability to manage time, prioritize, and multitask. Ability to read, interpret, and apply clinic policies and procedures. Ability to identify problems, recommend solutions, organize and analyze information.
