About the role

As a Registered Nurse in the Float Pool, responsibilities include delivering the highest quality patient care according to physician orders, utilizing knowledge to educate patients and families on prevention and healthy habits. Additional duties involve monitoring patients' conditions, assessing needs, collaborating on individualized care plans, administering medications, and fostering a compassionate environment.

Where You’ll Work CHI Health St. Elizabeth, founded by the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration in 1889, is a full-service, 260-bed, nonprofit regional medical center in Lincoln, Neb. St. Elizabeth specializes in the treatment areas of newborn and pediatric care, women’s health, burn and wound, cardiology, oncology, emergency medicine, orthopedics and neuroscience. What is a Resource Team/Float Pool? A nursing pool developed by CHI Health for flexible nurses, providing high quality care to patients across multiple nursing departments. Your base rate of pay, merit increases, shift differentials and holiday pay are given in an identical manner as for all core staff. Because this pool is designed to value flexibility, anyone committed to a .6 or higher will earn premium differential pay in addition to normal differential pay. Premium Differential Pay:Earn an additional 20% on top of your base pay. Resource Team/Float Pool is for you, if you wish to:

Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. Follow the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage. Assessment - Demonstrates a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze the following healthcare consumer data including: psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic and lifestyle factors Plan – Sets measurable and achievable short and long term goals according to standards of care based on the assessment by the nurse in collaboration with the healthcare consumer and multidisciplinary team. Implement – Implements and/or modifies the plan of care using assessment data, clinical reasoning based upon standards of care and evidence based practice. This includes care coordination, education and discharge planning. The nurse is accountable for the care directly, indirectly or through delegation. Professional and legal standards for delegation must be followed. Evaluate – Uses a systematic ongoing process to evaluate progress towards identified healthcare consumer goals. Revision of plan of care when needed involving the healthcare consumer and the multidisciplinary team. Documents all phases of the nursing process in the healthcare consumer’s record. Job Requirements Graduate of an RN nursing program, upon hire Registered Nurse: NE, upon hire and Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 5 - months

The role requires a responsible and compassionate Registered Nurse with top-notch clinical skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively educate patients and families, holding a current RN license and being a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
