The primary responsibility is producing high-quality ultrasound images for physician interpretation that adhere to Mayo Clinic Radiology Department standards and procedure protocols. This includes practicing proper safety guidelines for all personnel and patients, fostering teamwork, and ensuring a high level of patient service through effective communication and technique.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited sonography or radiography program and demonstrate competence in various imaging equipment, requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills for independent and team-based work. Registry eligibility is mandatory, requiring ARDMS registration (RVT preferred) within 6 months and subsequent certifications within specified timeframes, along with current BLS certification.
