The PET Technologist performs diagnostic PET imaging procedures, including radio-pharmaceutical injection, protocol setup, and image processing, while collaborating with management on technical issues and QA. Essential duties also involve assisting with scheduling, ensuring data accuracy, maintaining safety standards, and conducting daily quality control measures for scanner performance.
Candidates must meet specific educational and experience criteria that vary based on the level (1, 2, or Sr), generally requiring an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine or Radiologic Technology with relevant PET-CT certification. Required certifications include CNMT and/or ARRT(N) with state licensure where applicable, and experience ranges from a minimum of three to five years up to four years specifically in PET experience for senior roles.
