About the Role

As a Physician Assistant, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries while working closely with our physicians to develop individualized treatment plans.

Our providers play an active role in improving patient outcomes and helping the practice continuously evolve through collaboration, initiative, and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and physical examinations
  • Review medical histories and diagnostic imaging, including MRI, CT, and X-ray reports
  • Diagnose orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery expectations
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to provide outstanding patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Follow infection control, safety, and compliance standards
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development
  • Identify opportunities to improve patient experience and clinic efficiency

About our practice

Unlike traditional pain management practices, NexGen Medical Centers focuses on helping patients recover from acute injuries.

Our patient population primarily includes individuals recovering from

  • Motor vehicle accidents
  • Workplace injuries
  • Slip-and-fall injuries
  • Neck and back injuries
  • Joint and musculoskeletal conditions

We are a procedural-based practice dedicated to improving function, relieving pain, and helping patients return to their daily lives.

Qualifications

  • Required
  • Active Georgia Physician Assistant License
  • Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum one year of Physician Assistant experience

Preferred Experience in one or more of the following

  • Personal Injury
  • Interventional Pain Management
  • Orthopedics
  • Spine
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Sports Medicine
  • Neurosurgery

Georgia DEA License preferred.

SCHEDULE • Full-Time • Monday–Thursday

  • 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • One-hour lunch daily
  • No evenings
  • No weekends
  • No on-call responsibilities

Locations

Providers will primarily work within our Metro Atlanta clinics, including

  • Lawrenceville
  • Cumming
  • Oakwood

Requirements

Candidates must be a Board Certified Physician Assistant with at least one year of experience, preferably in Orthopedics, Interventional Spine, or the ER, and must possess required GA Licensure, PA-C certification, and BLS Certification. Ideal candidates should be dependable, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate leadership and the ability to multitask.
