The Staff Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients, develops treatment plans, and communicates progress with families, physicians, and other health team members while maintaining thorough medical record documentation. Responsibilities also include conducting in-services, supervising assistants, and facilitating discharge planning including ordering necessary durable medical equipment.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (Master's or Doctorate preferred) and be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state, maintaining continuing education requirements. Proficiency in computer skills like Casamba and Point Click Care is necessary, along with the ability to handle significant physical demands, including frequently exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
