The Medical Assistant will provide essential administrative and clinical support to ensure the efficient operation of the Integrative Care Facility, supporting providers and patients through various tasks. Duties include maintaining accurate patient records, assisting with medical therapeutic interventions like breathalyzer tests, and supporting laboratory procedures.
Candidates must have at least one year of Medical Assistant experience and be proficient with PC and Mobile platforms, demonstrating attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, current MA licensing, and BLS/CPR certification.
Full time, hourly position open in our friendly Integrative Medical Facility of Counselors, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Physician Assistant and Recovery Professionals.
Wisdom Traditions Counseling Services provides Alaska State certified and CARF nationally accredited outpatient programs. Providing both live onsite and tele-health services. Our integrated approach to patient care includes the treatment of behavioral health, addiction, and care coordination for primary care medical and medication management.

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative/clinical support to ensure efficient operation of the Integrative Care Facility. You will support providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care, clinic maintenance, administrative duties, and communication within the team. Accuracy, timeliness, compassion and high quality is a must.
· Maintain accurate and complete patient records according to clinical and legal standards · Assist in medical therapeutic interventions, such as breathalyzer, urine and other required monitoring · Assist medical team with laboratory testing, such as blood work, skin assessments, etc. as necessary · Collect and manage patient protected health information and assist in providing access to individual medical records, as requested, in accordance with state and federal regulations · Commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for patients and staff
· High School Diploma or GED · Maintain MA licensing through the state/agency (as applicable per state) · Maintain BLS/CPR certification · Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) & Certified Phlebotomist Technician (CPT) · Understanding of state and federal patient confidentiality and privacy regulation
