The Physician Support Associate I coordinates physician workflows across outpatient sites, supporting hospital physician workflows and performing administrative tasks to maximize Radiologist productivity and efficiency in image reading. This involves monitoring work lists, assigning STAT and subspecialty exams, and ensuring timely reading by coordinating coverage and schedules.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of medical office experience, preferably in radiology, though other combinations of education and experience will be considered. Required skills include knowledge of medical terminology, the ability to handle multiple demands calmly, strong customer service orientation, excellent organization, attention to detail, and proficiency in computer skills including Excel.

Coordinate physician workflow for Jefferson outpatient sites and performs various administrative tasks relating to the efficiency of image reading Organizes workflows to maximize Radiologist productivity and efficiency Monitors work lists for exams performed. Assign STAT and subspeciality exams to appropriate Radiologists for timely reading. Monitors exams in order to assign coverage during lunch breaks for the Radiologists Coordinates and works with all other PSA’s to assign subspecialty reads Review Radiologist’s daily work schedule; communicate and coordinate exams, procedures, STATs and any meeting and conference calls so that it does not interfere with or disrupt the day DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of medical office experience, preferably in radiology, required Previous experience working directly with physician schedules or facilitating physician flow, preferred. Must demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and radiology specialties. Must demonstrate a strong customer service orientation and a pleasant, professional manner. Must demonstrate excellent organization skills and attention to detail, as well as strong computer skills, including Excel.
