The Medical Assistant will plan, provide, and document nursing care in an OB-GYN setting according to physician orders, which includes collecting patient data, assessing outcomes, and communicating findings to physicians. Responsibilities also involve performing necessary in-clinic testing of samples and collaborating with RNs to revise patient care plans.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program and possess current certification from AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA, along with required BLS certification. Experience requirements vary by level, with Level I requiring no experience and Level II requiring one year of clinical experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
