The surgeon will perform surgical procedures to correct or prevent disease and injury while adhering to all ethical and regulatory standards. Responsibilities also include directing patient care activities, diagnosing and treating patients, and communicating with primary care physicians upon discharge.
The role requires performing standard office duties like excision and drainage, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and admitting patients for hospital stays and surgery. The physician must also participate in various medical group and leadership meetings as requested.
