The Family Medicine Physician will provide comprehensive, continuous primary care to patients across the lifespan, focusing on preventive care, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Key duties include performing routine wellness visits, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing treatments, and coordinating care with specialists.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and have completed an accredited Family Medicine residency program. Required qualifications also include being Board Certified or Eligible in Family Medicine and holding a current, unrestricted state medical license and DEA registration.
Family Medicine Physician – Position DescriptionPosition Overview The Family Medicine Physician provides comprehensive, continuous primary care to patients across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. This role focuses on preventive care, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions, and coordination of care across the healthcare continuum to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide primary care services to patients of all ages and backgrounds Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions Perform routine wellness visits, physical examinations, and preventive screenings Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans Prescribe medications and therapeutic treatments as appropriate Perform minor in-office procedures such as suturing, biopsies, and joint injections Deliver patient education, counseling, and preventive health guidance Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, and allied health professionals Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and organizational standards Skills & Competencies Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to care for a diverse patient population Strong diagnostic reasoning and problem-solving ability Collaborative, team-oriented approach to care delivery Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development Work Environment & Schedule Practice settings may include outpatient clinics, community health centers, or hospital-affiliated practices Full-time and part-time opportunities available Shared call responsibilities may apply depending on practice structure This role is ideal for physicians seeking a stable, rewarding primary care practice focused on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care in a collaborative healthcare environment.
