The physician will provide full-scope outpatient primary care for all ages and deliver comprehensive obstetric services, including managing low- to moderate-risk pregnancies and performing vaginal deliveries. This role requires participation in call coverage and maintaining accurate medical documentation within a team-based environment.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO from an accredited school and complete an accredited Family Medicine residency that includes obstetric training, achieving Board Certification or Eligibility in Family Medicine. Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the practicing state and DEA registration are also mandatory requirements.
A healthcare organization is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician with Obstetrics training to provide comprehensive primary care across the lifespan while also delivering obstetric services. This role focuses on continuity of care, preventive medicine, and collaborative obstetric practice within a multidisciplinary care environment. Key Responsibilities Provide full-scope outpatient primary care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients Deliver prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care for obstetric patients Manage low- to moderate-risk pregnancies within scope of training and privileges Perform vaginal deliveries and assist with obstetric procedures as credentialed Conduct well-woman exams, gynecologic care, and family planning services Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests and imaging Coordinate care with obstetrics, nursing, pediatrics, anesthesia, and specialty teams Provide patient education on pregnancy, childbirth, preventive care, and wellness Participate in obstetric call coverage as required Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives Practice Setting Outpatient family medicine clinic with integrated obstetric services Hospital-based labor and delivery coverage associated with obstetric responsibilities Schedule may include clinic sessions, delivery coverage, and call responsibilities depending on practice model Patient Population Patients across the lifespan Obstetric patients with low-risk pregnancies Work Environment Primary care clinic and labor and delivery care settings Team-based, collaborative care model Emphasis on continuity of care, maternal health, and comprehensive family care
