The Neurologist is responsible for the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic disorders affecting the central and peripheral nervous systems. This includes performing detailed examinations, interpreting diagnostic studies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered treatment plans.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and have completed an accredited Neurology residency program. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology and hold or be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania.
NeurologistPosition Summary The Neurologist provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of disorders of the central and peripheral nervous systems. This role includes care for patients with acute and chronic neurologic conditions, coordination of care across settings, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with neurologic disorders Perform comprehensive neurologic examinations and assessments Diagnose and treat conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, neuromuscular disease, headache disorders, and dementia Provide inpatient neurology consultations and/or outpatient clinic care Interpret diagnostic studies, including neuroimaging, EEG, EMG, and laboratory results, as applicable Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Manage neurologic emergencies and acute neurologic conditions Collaborate with primary care providers, hospitalists, neurosurgery, rehabilitation, and ancillary services Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and disease management Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical education initiatives Practice Setting Outpatient neurology clinic and/or hospital-based inpatient services Schedule and call responsibilities vary based on practice model Patient Population Adult and/or pediatric patients, depending on training Broad range of acute and chronic neurologic conditions
