The Dermatologist is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care, including the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic diseases affecting the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. This role also involves performing dermatologic procedures and managing skin cancers within a patient-centered, evidence-based practice.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and complete an accredited Dermatology residency program. Applicants must be Board certified or eligible in Dermatology and eligible for an unrestricted medical license and DEA registration in the practicing state.
DermatologistPosition Summary The Dermatologist provides comprehensive medical care for patients with diseases and conditions of the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. This role includes the diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic dermatologic conditions, preventive skin care, and procedural dermatology within a patient-centered, evidence-based practice. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of dermatologic conditions Provide medical dermatology care for acute and chronic skin diseases Perform dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and electrosurgery Diagnose and manage skin cancers and precancerous lesions Interpret pathology results and develop treatment plans Provide patient education on skin health, disease prevention, and sun protection Manage chronic dermatologic conditions through longitudinal care Collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists as needed Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical education activities Practice Setting Outpatient dermatology clinic May include hospital consults depending on practice model Medical, surgical, and/or cosmetic dermatology based on provider scope Patient Population Pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients Wide range of dermatologic conditions
