The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will establish and perform treatment programs for assigned residents, upgrading goods as appropriate and entering billing information accurately. They will also report resident progress, consult with the rehabilitation team, provide necessary equipment, and design special adaptive equipment.

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is trained and licensed, meeting the qualifications set forth by the NYS Board of Education and the NYS Rules and Regulation requirements. Graduate of an approved Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. Training certification by the AOTCB and current licensure in good standing with the NYS Board of Education. One (1) year experience in the skilled nursing facility setting, preferred. Experience with MDS, PRI and Comprehensive Care Planning. Entry-level knowledge and professional competency of the practice of occupational therapy as set forth by the NYS Board of Education and the AOTA. Candidate will have the physical ability to perform job related duties, which may require lifting, bending, stooping, stretching, pulling and pushing up to 50lbs or more as needed.
