About the role

The CT Technologist performs neuro and body scans on patients ranging from neonate to geriatric, ensuring adherence to age-specific guidelines and transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation. This role involves actively providing outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships while independently executing technical scanning procedures requiring the application of ionizing radiation.

CT Technologist Full Time: M W- 8 pm-7am

Saturday 7am-7apm

Sign of Bonus $15k with a 2 year contract

Position summary

Under the direction of a qualified physician, he performs both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following the age-specific guidelines, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and keeping the hospital computer system up to date with the progress of these exams. The CT technologist actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Performs a variety of technical scanning procedures that require independent judgment and initiative as required in the application of ionizing radiation for CT procedures. Be responsible for designated areas, policies, and equipment.

Knowledge and skills required

  • Knowledge of Cross-Sectional Anatomy and Pathology
  • Knowledge of Siemens and Philips Cast scan Equipment
  • Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds
  • Adult and child/infant CPR
  • Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment

Work experience

One-year minimum experience.

Organizational and customer service skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.

Education and experience required

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Licensure, certification or registration required

  • Associate's degree
  • Preferred ARRT (R) (CT)
  • 1 year to obtain the CT ARRT
  • Florida State License - General Radiographer
  • CPR Basic Life Support (BLS)

Must be able to pass Background and Drug Test screenings.

Requirements

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and possess a minimum of one year of experience, along with organizational and customer service skills. Required credentials include CPR/BLS certification, and the ability to obtain the ARRT (CT) certification within one year, along with passing background and drug screenings.
