Medical records coordinator i - Northwest family medicine - St. Maries

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-service-focused Medical Records Coordinator I to join our Northwest Family Medicine St. Maries Clinic!

• The Medical Records Coordinator I supports the clinic Medical Records function and is responsible for assuring that all clerical duties are accurately performed in completion of, but not limited to, the following areas: pull medical records for other departments and/or individuals as requested; electronically file medical records; prepare copies of medical record as requested; scans medical records, ensures that all requests for copies of medical records are authorized and approved for issuance; review the medical record for completeness; facilitate obtaining necessary signatures from physicians and practitioners to complete the medical record; file correspondence and other documents in medical records accurately; assist in mailing correspondence from the business office.
• This position will also work closely with other departments as needed, to ensure the patient’s chart and information is complete to receive treatment.
• Projects a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of patients, coworkers, and the Northwest Specialty Hospital as appropriate.
• This position will require excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
• Works under stress and in situations that demand patience and tact while providing impeccable service.

Qualifications

• and Preferred Experience:
• Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own growth and advancements.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated computer skills in utilizing Microsoft Office, integrated database, and other functions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
• Two years clerical experience required.
