The Physician Assistant is responsible for patient evaluation and care, performing necessary history and physical examinations, assessing patient needs, and delivering appropriate treatment within a multi-disciplinary health team. This role involves providing nursing care and health teaching to assigned adult and geriatric patients in an observation setting, adhering to the Florida State collaborative practice agreement.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold an MS in nursing, along with being licensed by the State of Florida. Required professional knowledge includes nursing theory and practice, extensive understanding of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and management of acute and chronic patient issues.
