The Physical Therapy Assistant collaborates with the healthcare team to optimize patient rehabilitation, providing physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. This involves applying physical science principles in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care continuously.
Applicants must possess a current California PTA License or current PTALA status and prior experience working in an acute care hospital setting. The role requires willingness to float between campuses and a minimum commitment of two weekend days per month.
Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to promote optimum patient rehabilitation. Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy treatments as defined by the California Physical Therapy Practice Act, applying the principles and theories of the physical sciences in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and modifying patient care as an active continuous process. Minimum 4 hour shifts up to 8 hour shift as needed. Required to work 2 weekend days a month minimum. Must be willing to float between campuses when needed. QUALIFICATIONS Current California PTA License or current PTALA status. Prior experience in acute care hospital setting.
