The Registration Clerk is primarily responsible for admitting and registering patients to the hospital, ensuring all required fields are accurately completed in a timely manner. This role also involves verifying physician orders and insurance information, collecting patient liabilities, and providing exemplary customer service to patients and staff.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of one year of previous experience in healthcare billing and admissions duties. Required competencies include medical registration experience, basic office skills, computer proficiency, and knowledge of medical terminology.
The Registration Clerk admits and registers patients to the Hospital. Ensures excellent Patient Service, for patients and families, physicians and staff, and visitors. Upholds the mission statement and expectations of the facility.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
High School diploma or equivalent. Medical registration experience required. Minimum one-year previous experience with health care billing and admissions duties required. Computer skills, basic office skills, knowledge of medical terminology required.
