This role involves a dynamic balance of clinical practice, teaching, research, and administrative leadership opportunities within a vibrant Division of Gastroenterology. Responsibilities include clinical sessions in Marlborough, procedural sessions, academic time, and participating in a 1:7 night call rotation.
Candidates must be Board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologists holding an MD or DO degree and must be eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure. The position is within UMass Memorial Medical Group, serving both academic and community-based practices.
Join a vibrant Division of Gastroenterology composed of 22 faculty members, 2 PhDs, 12 clinical fellows, and 10 advanced practice providers. This position offers a dynamic balance of clinical practice, teaching, research, and administrative leadership opportunities. Key Opportunity Highlights: Clinical practice primarily based in Marlborough, MA with dedicated service weeks at UMass Memorial Medical Center campus. Clinic schedule: 2 sessions/week (1 day), seeing an average of 8 patients per session. Procedural schedule: 6 sessions/week (3 days total). Academic and administrative time: 2 sessions/week (1 day). Night call rotation (1:7 call). Electronic Medical Record system: Epic. Academic appointment with UMass Chan commensurate with experience.
