As a Surgical Stepdown RN you will be a part of the exceptional Banner Boswell team which has been rated as one of the top 50 cardiovascular hospitals in the country!
Your primary focus will be to provide care for cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical patients. Patients include CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, Mitraclip, Esophagectomy, Thoracotomy, CEA, AAA, post cardiac cath and MI to name a few. General PCU patients may also be part of the patient population. Patient ratios on this unit are typically 4:1.

The Cardiothoracic Surgical Step-Down Unit at Banner Boswell Medical Center is currently seeking experienced nurses, but at this time will also consider those with Telemetry, ICU, or any other surgical acute care or critical care background. Candidates with in-patient/acute hospital experience and/or surgical patients are preferred.

Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe.

Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.

Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient's response to treatment. Notes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
