Job Description: Summary:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Perform laboratory procedures in all areas of microbiology.
Process patient samples and perform laboratory tests for bacteriology, serology and molecular diagnostics.
Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
Perform stat procedures within established turnaround time targets.
Review pending logs and result logs.
Result any outstanding workload.
Perform quality control procedures.
Multiple positions available.
Education
Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Clinical Laboratory, Medical Technology, Biological Science, or a related field and five years of progressive experience as a Medical Technologist or related.
Experience
Requires a Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license (or eligible).
Must possess experience with clinical laboratory testing including hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and clinical chemistry; and troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of analyzers and lab equipment.
