Job Description: SUMMARY
Uses the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care provided to individuals in a Critical Care Unit (e.g., NCCU, CVICU, CCU). Actively accepts, understands, and practices appropriate standards of critical care nursing. Actively supports the mission, vision, and values of the hospital and department. Performs various activities related to the needs of critically ill patients in accordance with the hospital’s established policies and procedures to include the following age groups: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current RN license in the state, with the ability to read, write, and speak English. Required certifications include Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (or completion within 3 months), along with institutional EKG and Critical Care courses if prior experience is lacking.
