The role involves leading procedural readiness by preparing the operating suite with all necessary instruments and equipment, and directly supporting the surgical team by anticipating and passing required instrumentation. Responsibilities also include upholding patient safety through rigorous sterile technique, managing supplies, and accurately monitoring instrument counts during procedures.
Candidates must obtain BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire or transfer, accepted from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Minimum education requires either a High School diploma with 2 years of cumulative experience, an Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

How you’ll make an impact in this role Lead procedural readiness by meticulously preparing the operating suite, ensuring all instruments, sterile fields, and high-tech equipment are immediately available for every surgical case, directly contributing to procedural success. Support the surgical team directly by expertly anticipating and passing required instrumentation to the surgeon, ensuring a seamless, efficient procedural flow that minimizes time under anesthesia. Uphold the highest standards of patient protection by rigorously following sterile technique, meticulously managing supplies, and accurately monitoring instrument counts throughout the procedure to ensure patient safety and prevent complications. Ensure patient comfort and safety by assisting the team with critical tasks such as safe patient transport, precise positioning, and draping, and providing crucial support to the surgeon for hemostasis and wound closure.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
