include coordinating radio-pharmaceuticals for patient procedures, explaining imaging processes, and participating in technical procedures using radiation detection instrumentation and gamma cameras. The technologist will also perform Nuclear Cardiology studies, maintain imaging quality, and manage supply inventory and related records.
Candidates must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) with advanced certification in Nuclear Medicine or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (N.M.T.C.B.), or be a graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology and registry eligible. BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire, and registry eligibility must convert to full registry within one year of employment.
