The Registered Nurse independently performs direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include prescribing, delegating, and coordinating patient care based on clinical judgment and evidence-based guidelines to promote comfort and ensure safety standards are met.
Candidates must possess at least one year of job-related experience and an Associate Degree in Nursing, though a BSN is required. Essential credentials include Registered Nurse licensure in Texas, Basic Life Support, PALS, NRP, and ACLS, with PACES certification required within six months of hire for new employees.
Independently performs the functions of a registered nurse in direct patient care. Utilizes the nursing process in the delivery of developmentally appropriate care. Also works in collaboration with other health care professionals to provide a comprehensive plan of care to meet the patient/family needs.
