About the role

The role involves providing Emergency Medicine services in pediatric emergency departments at Baptist Hospital and Homestead Hospital, supporting a high volume of patient visits in the greater Miami-Dade County metro area. Physicians will collaborate within a group comprised of board-certified pediatric emergency physicians and general pediatricians with extensive experience.

Outstanding Opportunities for Pediatric Emergency Medicine Specialists and Pediatricians with Emergency Medicine Experience in Miami Nicklaus Children's Hospital, a 325-bed freestanding children's hospital and ACS-verified Level 1 pediatric trauma center, and Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the physician multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children's Health System, have exceptional staff relief/pool opportunities for BC/BE fellowship-trained pediatric emergency medicine physicians and BC/BE pediatric physicians with pediatric emergency medicine experience (3 years minimum experience) to provide Emergency Medicine in its pediatric emergency departments in the greater Miami-Dade County metro area and surrounding suburbs.

Baptist Hospital had approximately 10,000 visits in 2024 2.

Homestead Hospital had nearly 18,000 visits in 2024 The group is comprised of both board-certified pediatric emergency physicians and general pediatricians with extensive pediatric emergency experience.

There is a well-coordinated and robust transfer process between the three hospitals to support admissions and subspecialty care needs.

Academic Affiliation Employed staff benefit from affiliations with our educational partner, Florida International University (FIU).

This position includes an appointment to the Faculty of FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
