About the role

The Program Therapist provides individual and group therapy to adults and develops individualized treatment plans. They also collaborate with the treatment team and assist with discharge planning and follow-up treatment arrangements.

Description This is an Exempt position with the starting salary being $80,089 commensurate based on experience.

Position Summary

The Program Therapist provides individual and group therapy to adults. In addition, the therapist provides treatment planning and serves as a liaison between the treatment team, the patient, the patient(s) family, and the referring professional. The therapist provides discharge planning and assistance with arranging follow-up treatment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Meet the Therapeutic needs of patients
  • Developing individualized, measurable, and objective treatment plans
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Provision of direct patient care, evaluations, documentation, supervision of rehabilitation technicians
  • Participation in performance improvement efforts of the facility

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a mental health discipline; LPC or LCSW preferred
  • Oklahoma State Licensure
  • Comply with JCAHO and CARF standards
  • Experience in, and competent to perform individual and group therapy
  • Two years’ experience in rehabilitation or psychiatric setting
  • Knowledge of neurogenic communication disorders, physical rehabilitation, developmental disabilities, psychiatric rehabilitation, behavior modification, and management of aggressive behaviors preferred

  • Requires the ability to read, write, and process information accurately
  • Requires the ability to sit or stand for long period of time
  • Requires the ability to walk long distances
  • May be required to lift, push or pull at least 65 lbs
