  • Evening - $3.00/hour
  • Night - $5.00/hour
  • Weekend - $4.50/hour

Premiums

  • Standby - $4.00/hour
  • Charge - $3.25/hour
  • Float - $2.50/hour
  • Per Diem - 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits)
  • Certification - $2.00/hour
  • Preceptor - $1.00/hour
  • Advanced Preceptor - $2.00/hour
  • SANE Exam - $500.00

Job description

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the facility.

Promotes continuity of care for patients on the unit, providing direct patient care as well as supervising the care given by Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nurses Assistants, Patient Care Aides and other support staff.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflecting the patient’s status.

Interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements concerning his or her age-specific needs.

Provides the care needed as described in the department/unit policies and procedures.

Participates in patient and family teaching.

Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Demonstrates the values contained in the Hospital and Nursing Department mission and philosophy statements.

Supports and promotes a positive image of professional nursing and OMC.

Has contact with patients under a variety of circumstances and is subject to varying and unpredictable situations.

May perform emergency care and handle emergency or crisis situations.

Occasionally subjected to irregular hours.

Education

Associate’s degree required.

BSN preferred.

Licensure/Credentials

Current Washington State RN license required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

PALS certification required within 1 year of hire.

Requirements

A minimum requirement is an Associate's degree in nursing, though a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, along with two years of hospital experience preferred. Candidates must possess a current Washington State RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with PALS certification required within one year of hire.
