Inpatient SLP roles remain in steady demand

In New York, inpatient speech-language pathologist roles are typically driven by ongoing needs in skilled nursing and rehab settings, where therapy supports swallowing, communication, and discharge planning. These positions are competitive because employers often want a master’s degree, ASHA certification, and New York licensure, while still welcoming new graduates for some openings. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits here to save time, then confirm your licensure status and tailor your application to inpatient care experience or clinical rotations.
