The Physician is responsible for providing quality medical services, engaging in the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease, defects, or injuries, and recommending appropriate treatments consistent with professional standards of care. This role also requires completing accurate medical records, participating in after-hours call coverage, and actively engaging in non-revenue generating academic activities like committee service or outreach.
Candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and have successfully completed residency, achieving Board Certification or Eligibility. Required credentials include active medical licensure in the state of employment, a Controlled Substance License, and a Drug Enforcement Agency Number.
