The MRI Technologist is responsible for patient safety and performing high-quality MR studies, which includes pre-screening for contraindications and potentially overseeing remote assistants. Duties also involve producing high-quality diagnostic images using multiple MR systems and ensuring effective communication with radiologists, team members, and customers.
Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, CPR Certification, and a valid state driver's license if applicable. Experience requirements vary based on existing registration status, ranging from 3 months of supervised experience to no experience for already MR registered technologists.
Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience. Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT. 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Experience. Physical
The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during transport of patients if working on a mobile unit. The employee will be exposed to a strong magnetic field. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease, and communicable disease when interacting with patients. More than 50% of the time: Sit, stand, walk. Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs. See, speak and hear to be able to communicate with patients. Less than 50% of the time: Stoop, kneel or crawl. Climb and balance. Carry and lift (ability to move non-ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to exam).
