The role involves providing general medical assistance to physicians within an office or clinical setting, while also carrying out clerical, billing, and processing functions for the assigned work area. The employee must participate in quality assessment activities and adhere to all safety and infection control standards.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, making them eligible to sit for the certification exam. Essential requirements include the ability to type accurately, understand and execute orders, maintain records, and obtain BLS certification upon starting, with mandatory certification within one year to retain employment.
