The Staff Nurse provides direct nursing care for individual clients with well-defined nursing diagnoses, communicating with and on behalf of the client and coordinating care with all health team members. This role involves organizing the aspects of nursing care for which the nurse is accountable within a specified work period.
Applicants must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Dakota, with one year of Medical/Surgical experience preferred. Required certifications include BLS, and NRP must be obtained within the first six months of hire.

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Dakota. One year Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
BLS - required, ACLS - preferred but not required, NRP - Must obtain within the first 6 months of hire. Following a formal orientation, proficiency in the assigned clinical area is expected within six months. Cross training is required.
Working Conditions Requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling, talking, hearing and moderate (exerting/lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly) lifting of clients and equipment. Risks exposure to communicable or infectious disease. Failure to comply with standards of nursing care of HRMC may result in consequences to continued employment. Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change) and to atmospheric conditions (one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases or poor ventilation).
