The primary function is to provide personal healthcare and supportive tasks to the client in their residence, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). This includes assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and maintaining a safe environment.
Candidates need at least one year of experience as a Home Health Aide or Nursing Assistant within the last 24 months, or completion of a relevant certification program recently. Applicants must also possess a valid driver's license, proof of current CPR, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Job Title/Position: HHA (Home Health Aide)
Reports to: Branch Clinical Director
Primary function is to provide personal healthcare and related services to the client in their place of residence; to assist in providing a safe and clean environment work cooperatively with patient and family and share observations and problems with the supervisor. Works under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
1. Appropriately report changes in the patient’s condition. 2. Promote positive, supportive, respectful communication to patient/family and other employees.
1. Demonstrate commitment, professional growth and competency by attending 12 hours of in-services per year. 2. Promote the agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
1. High School Diploma Preferred
2. At least one year experience in the last 24 months as a Home Health Aide or Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home or home health agency, or completion of Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide Program within the last 24 months.
3. Must be able to read and write in English and follow written and verbal instructions in English effectively.

5. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
1. Demonstrates interest in the welfare of ill and elderly.
2. Works in patient’s homes in various conditions, possible exposure to blood and body fluids and infectious diseases; ability to work flexibly schedule, ability to travel locally; some exposure to unpleasant weather.
