The Physician Assistant is responsible for the clinical practice of medicine within the designated specialty, functioning as an Advanced Practice Provider by obtaining history and physical exams, determining diagnoses, and managing acute/chronic complaints. Responsibilities also include direct patient care, ordering tests, prescribing interventions, and counseling patients and caregivers.
Candidates must be graduates from an ARC-PA accredited program and hold current New York State Physician Assistant License & Registration, NCCPA Certification, and BLS certification. Approximately two years of clinical work experience is highly desired, although new graduates may be considered.

The GI Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery team at Weill Cornell Medicine is dedicated to helping patients accomplish their health and weight loss goals. We are currently seeking a Physician Assistant for the Outpatient Clinic.
The Physician Assistant (PA)is responsible for the clinical practice of medicine within the designated specialty, working in collaboration with a supervising physician and in accordance with an established delineation of privileges. Within their scope of practice, the PA will independently and collaboratively function as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) which includes but is not limited to obtaining history and physical exam, determining differential diagnosis, evaluating and managing of acute/chronic medical complaints and conditions, and determining the need for therapeutic/diagnostic tests and procedures. The PA will perform additional specific functions, as it pertains to the specific medical and/or surgical specialties. A graduated level of autonomy is expected and granted based upon individuals’ competency, skill set and knowledge.
Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm
Master's Degree is preferred.
Approximately 2 years of work experience in clinical setting highly desired.
Up to one year of post-degree course work and/or an internship and less than one year of previous experience may be considered.
New grads may be considered.
Prior experience with coordinating clinical protocols desired.
Fluent in Cantonese preferred
