The LVN will ensure individual service plans are followed, administer prescribed treatments, and conduct meaningful rounds with residents and physicians. Responsibilities also include administering injections, performing in-house testing, documenting changes in resident status, and supervising nursing aides.
Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED plus one to two years of college or vocational school, and must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. A current Texas licensure as a licensed vocational nurse is required, along with the physical ability to perform demanding tasks like lifting up to 100 pounds and extensive standing/walking.
