The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides high quality, holistic, evidence-based anesthesia to pediatric and adult patients, practicing in collaboration with and under the medical direction of an Anesthesiologist. This role involves assuming patient care at all acuity levels across various settings for surgical, diagnostic, emergency, and therapeutic procedures.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved accredited school of Nurse Anesthesia, holding either a Master of Science in Nursing or a Doctorate of Nursing Practice. Required credentials include a Texas professional registered nurse license, advanced practice nurse license, certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
