About the role

The MRI Technologist will execute standard clinical and advanced research magnetic resonance imaging procedures. This involves assisting and positioning patients in the scanner and collecting imaging data following standard protocols, both with and without MR contrast agents.

About this position

The MRI Technologist will perform standard clinical and advanced research magnetic resonance imaging. These responsibilities include patient assistance and positioning in the scanner, and collection of imaging data according to standard protocols both with and without MR contrast agents.

  • Required qualifications
  • Associates Degree, Radiologic Technology or equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ experience as an MRI Technologist performing clinical diagnostic imaging

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses

• Certified and Registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging from either ARRT or ARMRIT

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge

  • Skilled in delivery of patient care and MRI procedures, start IV (including difficult sticks), contrast administration, and collection of imaging data according to standard protocols
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Experience with operation of MR scanner and peripheral instrumentation (e.g., contrast injector, GFR measurement, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with a Siemens platform is preferable
  • 3-5 years of MRI experience
  • Experience with pediatric imaging, as the Center will have a particular focus on research imaging in infants and children
  • Excellent initiative, independence and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in EPIC a big plus

Requirements

Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, along with a minimum of two years of experience performing clinical diagnostic imaging as an MRI Technologist. Certification and registration through ARRT or ARMRIT in Magnetic Resonance Imaging are required.
