The Registered Nurse is responsible for implementing and evaluating patient care on adult, adolescent, and geriatric psychiatric units, while also providing supervision and guidance to other nursing staff members. Key duties include completing patient admissions, administering prescribed medications, participating in the interdisciplinary treatment team, and ensuring appropriate nursing interventions and documentation, especially during crisis situations.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited nursing program and be licensed by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas or a compact state, with one year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred. Required certifications include CPR and hospital de-escalation, which can be obtained during orientation, alongside passing background checks and drug screening.

Performs other duties as assigned.
