Provide daily husbandry, care, and sanitization for laboratory animals and their housing facilities. Maintain accurate records of animal health and room environments according to quality assurance standards.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of demonstrated work experience. Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working weekends or holidays.
Requires a high school diploma, or equivalent, and one year of demonstrated work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained. Requires professional-level communication skills and the ability to effectively to work independently and as a part of a team. Must be available to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays. Physical Requirements Work is performed in laboratory and vivarium/animal housing environments. Will frequently stand, sit, walk, kneel, crawl, reach/work overhead, frequently lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive and perform desk-based computer tasks. Will wear personal protective equipment which may include a respirator.
